It may be a sign of the times as magazines try to hang on to their readership base, but Hearst is offering $5 subscriptions this week on its magazines: Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s BAZAAR, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, O - The Oprah Magazine, Popular Mechanics, Redbook, Seventeen, Smart Money, Town & Country and Veranda.

Each subscription is for 12 issues, with the exception of Veranda, which is for 8 issues.
